we had long weekend christmas holiday at the end of this year. we went to Singapore for 2 days only, because at 28th december that will be a normal working day. i went out with my batchmates, Febri, Aca, Ryan, and Yudi. after got permission from school 3 weeks before the day, we started our journey by train at 24th of december 8.30pm local time. it was fully-berth coach that we’ve ordered before, so we could sleep all the way during entire night of railway track.
there’s always fully-high-stressful-pressure here. as a human being, we need to refresh our mind before we proceed to the best result that we can achieve. excellent peformances are nothing and being useless if we couldn’t feel comfortable inside here. that’s why i’d like to travel instead of playing computer games during the whole sunny day, doing something with playstation while a little bit drizzle out there, or anything such a others artificial entertainment. outbond, going out with friends, try something new and different, or learning by experiencing, these are much more suitable for me, and my batchmates that i’ve mentioned.
try a backpackers way. yes, from long time ago i wish i could travel to somewhere in a backpackers way. all that we have done are like that. low budget, short period of time, and snacks (or even our instant lunch and dinner) were in the backpack. didn’t forget to bring a camera, because no point if we go somewhere without any written/pictured proof. borrowing a camera is not such a crime, right?
MYR98 for return fully-berth train tickets from Wakaf Bharu Station to Singapore Tanjong Pagar Station with KTM. long.. long.. long.. and long journey, it takes 14 hours to reach our destination. it’s almost from the first point of railway track and the ends (Singapore) in the other side. but, don’t worry if we were taking appropriate seating for us. for accomodation (1 night only), we had ordered a low budget hostel by online, about SGD20, near little India. all those things were ready on our backpack and so we are ready to take-off!
it was hard to get sleep. might be i had a bit nervous, hehehe… the things that i’ve think about is immigration process at the border, either Malaysia or Singapore. but i was worrying about Singapore immigration most. eh, nevermind. at least i had to wait until we arrived at the border first, and face whatever that can be happened.

after a long boring time (maybe the longest night while on journey ever had :p ), we arrived at Johor Baharu station which is the last stop-point in Malaysia before enter Singapore. here also, we were checked by Malaysia immigration and customs.

we (i mean all the whole train passengers) were waiting for Aca and Ryan that had to go to immigration office at the station because they didn’t bring their immigration card along with. advice number 1 : bring all the things that related to our passport or immigration affair. get it together with stapler or anything attached to your passport.
fyuh, we can passed Malaysian border. then, we were on the straits of Singapore. i thought that it was a bridge, instead that’s only a two lands that connected by heap of soil. i was wrong. but whether i was wrong or not, there is Singapore (immigration) border afterwards. it’s called Woodlands Train Checkpoint (45 minutes to go to the real Singapore Tg Pagar Train Station). we had to disembark from train along with our bagagge, went and queued into the line to be checked.
came to my turn. just a short checking on the line before i had to be interviewed by another staff out of queing line. yes, i was nervous at that time. i was afraid that we would be rejected to enter Singapore. need to be relax during the short interview and telling the truth, so did my fellow. and as you know, we’ve made it! suddenly i’m thinking about Ryan and come to advice number 2 : don’t show that you are nervous (or even just a jokes). they can read your face that looks like there was anything wrong with you. be calm :D
arrival delayed about 1 hour. more or less, we were contributing of this delays because of our short interview with immigration. nevertheless, we had arrived safely. Welcome to Singapore!
i’m the man behind the camera. if it wasn’t me, so who will take the pictures? :p
with Map of Singapore held on our hands, then where we were going to?
- to be continued

where were you going next??..I’ll be waiting the trip report..hehe..
